I was one of those teenagers with horrible pimples, blackheads and oily skin. In the 60′s and 70′s, it was amazing our skin did not burn off with all of the harsh chemicals and remedies that were the norm for that time.

Luckily for later and present teens, science and common sense have evolved – I hardly ever see really bad cases of acne anymore – and for these kids and young adults, I am very happy.

The ONLY advantage that I can see from my earlier horrendous skin issues is that, at turning 56, I am rarely prone to guesses of anywhere near my real age. Apparently the oily skin I have always complained about has that tiny plus BUT, yes, at 55 and with 4 more days to BE 55, I still have oily skin, although now it is more of a combo. My forehead is so dry it flakes horribly but you could still moisturize with the oil on my nose!
